Film Purge Services

Types of Film We Service:

Medical X-ray Film, Cine Film, Litho Film, Radiographic Film, Microfiche/Microfilm

AMS can arrange a file room purge at your facility, in addition to providing x-ray silver recovery rebate for your archival film. If your records are stored off-site at a Records Storage facility, we can work as a liaison between the records storage facility and your facility to reduce the costs for removal of your archival x-ray film in jackets. AMS supplies all the equipment and transportation needed for your purge whether we are picking up x-ray film from your facility or a record storage company. There is no need to remove the x-ray film from jackets, we take the whole file destroying and recycling both the paper and x-ray film materials.

Client Purge Service

Clients provide their own employees to remove archival x-ray film from shelves. The following process includes:

• Choice of scheduled frequency available
• Barcoded barrels are provided
• Client fills equipment and contacts our office for pick-up
• We track the equipment with our scanning technology
• The scanner is signed by an authorized employee at your facility and a Work Order/Certificate of Destruction is provided
• Our security service technicians will load the film onto our AMS truck that is monitored with a GPS tracking system and brought back to our highly secured facility for destruction

AMS Purge Service

AMS will provide our trained purge technicians to remove archival x-ray film from shelves. The following process includes:

• Project scheduled
• Barcoded barrels and/or collection bins are provided
• AMS purge technicians will remove archival film in jackets
• We track the equipment with our scanning technology
• The scanner is signed by an authorized employee at your facility and a Work Order/Certificate of Destruction is provided
• Our security service technicians will load the film onto our AMS truck that is monitored with a GPS tracking system and brought back to our highly secured facility for destruction
