Our paper recycling program highlights the reuse of shredded paper. All confidential information is shredded using our Allegheny 1000- Series Shredder and then baled for secure transportation to the paper mill. From that point upon reaching the paper mill, the shredded material is pulped and turned into new paper products.
Consider consumers today; they want products and services that are sustainable. From hybrid cars to organic food, the economy is changing in an effort to adhere to the needs of consumers who want “green”. By turning to products manufactured using recycled paper consumers are supporting sustainability and contributing to a cleaner environment.
Every piece of paper that can be reused is a material that will not require logging or storage in a landfill. According to the EPA, by recycling 1 ton of paper, we save: 17 trees, 7,000 gallons of water, 463 gallons of oil, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, and enough energy to heat an average home for 6 months.
