AMS again attended this year's annual NAID Conference in Grapevine, TX. What a great way to connect with many of our friends while making new ones. Kudos to the planning team and the NAID staff for a well-run and entertaining conference.
AMS employees attended numerous workshops lead by industry professionals, from degaussing hard drives and optimizing operations and sales strategies to the current state of data breaches, best practices were presented and discussed.
Networking with member companies and attending seminars is one of the many ways AMS stays abreast of the changing industry.
NAID is the international trade association for companies providing information destruction services. NAID's mission is to promote the information destruction industry and the standards and ethics of its member companies. AMS is a member and proud to be NAID AAA certified. This certification is provided to recognize companies on their secure processes when destroying records. Security is the #1 priority at AMS and we follow the strictest industry standards and procedures to ensure the confidentiality of our client's data. We look forward to next year's conference and the continuing education that NAID provides.

Earlier this month, AMS participated and sponsored in its third year at the Crystal Lake Clean Up Day! The Crystal Lake Chamber puts on this event every year and invites individuals and organizations to come together and help clean up the trash left behind from winter.
The event was held on Saturday, April 18th, the weekend before Earth Day. Participants met in the morning at the Crystal Lake Chamber for coffee, doughnuts and fruit and were assigned an area around the town. Gloves and garbage bags were provided, and after collection, participants gathered for a hot lunch of freshly grilled hot dogs, chips, pop, and more!
AMS always enjoys the opportunity to help give back to our environment. In addition to volunteering, we have incorporated processes that both securely destroy confidential information and help preserve our natural resources.
